Dear Parents and Families:
My name is Mrs. Mary Esther Hartley, and I will be your child’s 3rd grade Teacher for this school year. This is my twelfth year working at Marshpoint Elementary School, but I have a total of nineteen years of experience as a Teacher and as a Special Education Educator. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with both Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Education. In addition to my General Education certification, I also have certifications in Special Education, Gifted Education & have a Reading Endorsement on my teaching certificate.
In addition to teaching, I enjoy camping, boating, sailing, and spending time with my 11-year-old son Hayden, 8 year old daughter Meredith, and our three cats. I love traveling and going on vacations.
My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside with them to maximize it. I believe in hands-on experiences and learning creatively. I am looking forward to a fun–filled and educational school year!
I am really looking forward to working with your children and with their whole family. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by (BEST WAY), e-mail [email protected] , or by calling the school at 395-4000.
Sincerely,
Mary Esther Hartley, M.Ed.
